New Course coming to Marino College - Hotel Guest Relations and Customer Service Level 5

Marino College is delighted to launch a new course in 2020 Hotel Guest Relations and Customer Service

This course is designed to give students the necessary skills, confidence and knowledge to work efficiently in the expanding Hotel Industry. Learners will be trained in areas of Hotel Customer/Client Relations and Tourism.  They will gain in depth knowledge in the key areas of how to deal with customer queries, handling customer complaints professionally and how to successfully complete a guest check in, in an efficient manner.  

This QQI Level 5 industry approved Award, will further the students skills and competencies in Administration, Communication and  I.T. This includes working in the role of a receptionist and other frontline and office skills. The course will also prepare them for any event production or management in a hospitality environment. Full training is given in   Hotel Property management system ‘Hotelier Hub’ a simulated program similar to that used in most hotels. The students are shown how to effectively use this program in a busy hotel setting.  

Key skills provided on this course:

  • Welcoming and checking in of guests

  • Check out departing guests using the hotel’s in-house system

  • Dealing efficiently with all guest enquiries as the main point of contact for guests

  • General switchboard duties including taking of reservations/bookings

  • Provision of excellent hospitality and guest service

  • Professional presentation & personal grooming

  • How to work effectively as part of a team
